The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

During tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a problem if you want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move on if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock floor vacuum robot of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong like low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can want. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can make the L10s more of a premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
